PACC Scholarship Program
"The youth of today will be our future. Today they might be our partners, tomorrow they will go on to become our leaders."
Annually, the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce awards scholarships to area high school seniors who will further their education at a post secondary level including trade, technical and vocational schools. Application packages are available through the Guidance Offices at area high schools or via download (at the bottom of this page). In 2025, the Chamber will offer 2 $3,000 scholarships based on a students interest in a career in business or a career in S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art or Mathematics).
Eligibility
The PACC Scholarship is available to any Peabody resident or non-resident who is a graduating senior who plans to major in business, STEAM (including medical) and meets at least ONE of the following
- Attends a school in Peabody
- Is a Peabody resident who attends school in another city
- Employed by a Peabody Chamber member business
- Parent/legal guardian is the owner or an employee of a PACC member business
The award recipient will be determined by the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce.
- Eligible scholarship recipients will be required to participate in an a short interview with the selection committee, to provide an opportunity to demonstrate other skills/talents not covered by the transcript or essay.
- The date and time of the interview to be determined by the Chamber of Commerce and will occur during the month of May.
- Only Scholarship Recipients will be notified via mail approximately one week after interview.
- Scholarships will be awarded directly to the honoree upon presentation of a PAID tuition bill or payment plan accepted by the school.
Application, resume, recommendation and transcript must be received on or before April 4, 2025.
Funds raised for the scholarship program are made possible through the generous support of local businesses. These businesses actively participate in or sponsor the annual Torigian Golf Classic, a premier event in our community, co-hosted by the Peabody Area Chamber and Rotary Club of Peabody. This year, the Torigian Golf Classic is scheduled to take place on June 16th at the picturesque Meadow in Peabody. The success of this event not only fosters a sense of camaraderie among local businesses but also directly contributes to the scholarship fund, enabling us to provide meaningful financial support to develop our future workforce.
