INCredible Business Awards 

This event brings recognition and awareness to 10 incredible Peabody Area Chamber member companies and individuals who have shown an outstanding commitment to our business community and will be celebrated during a cocktail reception event.

Nomination Process
  • Business or Individual being nominated must be a member of the Peabody Area Chamber of Commerce (with the exception of First Responder, Community Champion or People's Choice award categories).
  • Nominations must be submitted using the online form (see below) and must include a full, detailed description of why you are nominating the individual/business as well as details on their activities or accomplishments.
  • Submissions must include nominees contact information (self nominations are accepted).
  • Nominations will be reviewed by a committee of the Peabody Area Chamber members with no more than 3 included as finalists.
  • People's Choice nominees will be open to the public for voting on May 1st.

Award Categories 

  • Champion of Diversity Award: Recognizes a business or nonprofit organization that has made an impactful commitment to embracing diversity in their workplace, diversity supplier partnerships, and the community.
  • Business of the Year: Recognizes a company on their creativity and imagination in development of their business, demonstration of growth, and a reflection on internal and external social responsibility.
  • Minority Business Enterprise Award: Recognizes outstanding business achievements of a minority-owned business in establishing a successful business model or contributions to the community.
  • Non Profit of the Year: Recognizes a nonprofit serving the Peabody Area and helping to improve our local community with innovative services/program.
  • Family Business of the Year: Recognizes the accomplishments and impact of a family-owned business.
  • Young Professional of the Year: Presented to an individual under the age of 40 who has made significatn contributions to their company or community.
  • First Responder Award: Recognizes a law enforcement officer, paramedic, emergency medical technician, or firefighter that has made a difference beyond the role of their job description. Does not need to be a member of the chamber to be nominated.
  • Community Champion: Recognizes an individual that makes a difference in the community through volunteering or leading an initiative that is not related to their job description. Does not need to be a member of the chamber to be nominated.
  • Mary Upton Ferrin Award: Recognizes an individual employed by a chamber member business who has led a civic, economic, cultural, or social initiative, not related to their job duties, and has demonstrated resilience in conquering unique challenges or overcoming obstacles.
  • Harry Ankeles Award: Recognizes an individual employed by a chamber member business for their exceptional dedication to community service and having made an impact through their volunteer-based work inspiring others to follow their example.

Peoples Choice Award

New to this year's awards is the People's Choice Award, allowing members of the community to nominate their favorite local businesses for recognition.  Nominations are now closed for 2024.
